All authors are required to indicate the paper(s) ID of their contribution(s) in the registration area.

The authors/participants from the European Union are required to submit their tax ID while registering. You will find the VAT no. field in the affiliation information area of the on-line registration form.

The organizers of the IEEE NANO conference announce the availability of travel grants for students and young professionals to partially offset the cost of attending IEEE NANO 2022 in Palma (Spain), July 6 – July 8, 2022.  We anticipate awarding grants to students and young professionals who are currently registered and will be attending IEEE NANO 2022. Funds can be spent for travel, accommodation and food; by IEEE regulation, funds can not be spent on NANO 2022 registration.

For a student to be eligible, the applicants must be enrolled in a U.S. or international degree program at the time of IEEE NANO 2022. Students and young professionals as authors of accepted papers are especially welcome to apply. Level of NTC participation and presentation will be used as a priority criterion in awarding the grants. Students and young professionals from under-represented groups, those attending the conference for the first time who might not have any papers/presentations at the conference, and undergraduate students are also encouraged to apply.

Applications must be received no later than Friday 10^th of June, 2022; by this date an applicant must be registered to be considered.

The applicant must submit by e-mail a write-up not exceeding 300 words stating their student/young professional status and summarizing the current research related to nanotechnology, what they expect to learn by attending the conference, and how the participation may affect their future research directions. The ability to summarize is a quality of a good researcher, therefore too long of a statement will be to the applicant’s disadvantage.

The write-up should begin with the following information, in this order:

1. Applicant’s first name and last name, affiliation, and preferred contact e-mail address
2. Full postal address and telephone/fax numbers
3. Title of NANO 2022 presentation (if any)
4. If student, specify status and degree program (BS / MS / PhD) and institution
5. If young professional, justify your status as such

AWARD NOTIFICATION

The notification of an award will be sent by email at Friday 17^th of June 2022, to the applicant’s preferred email address; this communication will specify the amount of funds made available to partially cover travel, accommodation, and food for attending NANO 2022.

AWARD REFUND

An awardee must submit by Monday 18^th of July 2022 to IEEENANO2022@gmail.com the following information for receiving a refund:

1. A pdf file as a scan out of all receipts for the expenses; each receipt must be provided with date and explanation of the related expense
2. Full banking information to which an electronic transfer of funds will take place from the IEEE to the awardee

Note that the amount to be reimbursed will be reflecting the provided receipts and capped by the funds specified in the award. Late submission will not be eligible for refund.

TRAVEL AWARD RESULTS

Upon receipt of the IEEE approval, the NTC has notified by email 21 students and young professional announcing the recipients and the amounts (in US $) for travel awards. Every recipient must confirm by email the acceptance of the award (as well as the IEEE rules for the refund) by 9 pm (US Eastern Time), June 23, 2022. This deadline is firm and awards with no acceptance email by the deadline expiration will be automatically rescinded. If you have received no email, we take this opportunity to thank you for your application and we understand that this news may be disappointing, but the selection process was very selective, and the allocated funds could only cover 21 recipients.

Author registration and payment should be completed before June 20th in order the manuscript be included IEEE Nano 2022 Proceedings. Only presented papers will be included in the Conference proceedings. REMEMBER: a signed IEEE Copyright Form is needed for each paper (you can find it in the Final Submission area). You have to check the final version of your paper with IEEE PDF eXpress.

Each accepted paper or presentation will have assigned a full-fee member presentation  (non-student), in case of several papers it will be requires an extra paper presentation fee or just an additional student registration up to three papers. For the 4th paper presentation you will need and additional full Author Registration.

Full Author Registration includes: paper presentation, entrance to all Sessions, access to the conference Welcome Party, lunches, breaks, Social Event, Distributed Material, Certificate of attendance.
